It’s so crazy that master chief has SEX in the show. They aren’t humans anymore they’re something more, and that’s something the show fails to comprehend. They were stolen from their homes, tortured, mutated and reprogrammed into unthinking killing machines. A story about the abuse a Spartan faces could work well, a deep character study that slowly burns to real development is a good idea, cause Spartans are tragic monsters. It’s a cowboy finding a baby story when it’s just not necessary and doesn’t fit within the series’ constraints. It seems like they took a look at the elevator pitch for The Mandalorian and went from there. Haven’t even seen the show, but from the screenshots and clips I’ve seen online, and the synopses, I know for certain it isn’t good. Regardless of this shows mocked and ridiculed depiction. Spartan 117 is a badass through and through. All to witness our legendary Spartans be whittled down to emotional basket cases. Its sad how this show intro'd with such an explosive beginning of Covenant blowing civilians to holy hell and Spartans dropping in and kicking ass. If this shows second season doesn't open with the Covenants invasion of Reach this show is DOA S2 immediately. Her character sucks but they gave it a go. The situation with Kwan and that storyline is just a civilian touch to a militarized world. One that he has timelessly proven again and again. Spartan 117 operates off of a mentality of a NO LOSE SCENARIO.

The emotionally rebellious storyline of our current series never existed. Blue team was so intricate in his development as a leader that he essentially was leading an entire battalion of Spartan cadets. The greatest reference I can provide to Spartan 117s development is Halo: Fall of ReachĮveryone who has seen this movies animated adaption, realizes how John developed the understanding of what it takes for his team to win.
The utter incompetence of the director and creative department was so off course that super soldiers became more normalized and average. Everyone knows that it can't just be a mirror image of the video game. The basterdized version of this show really gave a glimpse into how pathetic writing and lack of historic knowledge detrimentally scarred this series.
